A very interesting map of the Japan issued in the third decade of the twentieth century.  Rand McNally by then had established itself as the leading American map maker and their maps are known for their copious data presented clearly.  Topography and settlements are shown throughout.  The main island and Kyushu are in the main part of the map, with Hokkaido and Chishima in an inset, as is Taiwan and the Ryukyu Islands.
