“A Sail! A Sail!” Ca. 1840-50. Lithograph. Original hand color. Small folio. Vignette, ca. 12 x 9. Wide margins. Light paper mottling. Overall, very good condition.
An interesting American popular lithograph showing a sailor lost at sea and clinging to a broken mast. He has spotted “a sail, a sail!” Four lines of verse are included, ending with “But nothing can conquer a firm Yankee heart!”
