A detailed antique map of the Indian Empire, issued by the Geo. F. Cram Company in 1886.  Cram was one of important American publishers using the wax engraving or cerography process to make maps.  This allowed for easily updated and highly detailed maps, of which this is a nice example.  The map shows the extensive Indian Empire in 1886, extending down the southeast Asian peninsula to include the coastal area as far as Chedin.  Topography is clearly shown, and many towns and cities are named throughout.  Attractive and informative.
