A wonderful set of decorative prints from Waldstein and Kitaibel’s early nineteenth century herbal; superb prints in perfect condition from what is possibly the rarest of botanicals. The plants are exquisitely engraved with marvelous accuracy, roots, seeds, &c. depicted with minute detail. While produced as part of a scientific herbal, the prints are none-the-less strikingly attractive, the plants finely portrayed in a clean and simple style. For their size, elegant appearance, superb workmanship and extreme scarcity, these are prints like no other; they are amongst the finest botanicals ever produced.
