An attractive and detailed map of Asia from A. J. Johnson’s mid-nineteenth century atlas of the world.  Johnson, who published out of New York City, built a very successful business producing popular atlases, geographies and so on.  This map is typical of his work, showing political divisions (highlighted with contrasting pastel colors), cities, rivers, and topography.
